A Rehabilitation Center Led by Specialists in Substance and Alcohol Recovery
DAY ONE is a residential rehabilitation center for people facing problems with alcohol, drugs, and gambling.
Day One is certified as a healthcare facility of the rehabilitation type (drug rehabilitation center).
Under Royal Gazette announcement No. 18 on the establishment of healthcare facilities, Day One Rehab Center passed the official assessment as a rehabilitation facility in accordance with Ministry of Public Health standards.
Certification involved a full review of documentation and evidence showing that the center meets every requirement set by the Ministry: experienced addiction-treatment personnel in sufficient numbers to care for every resident; structured treatment programs and activities that strengthen physical health, mental health, and vocational skills; and purpose-built facilities for activities and accommodation within secure, fully enclosed grounds — preventing unauthorized entry, exit, or prohibited items — together with safety measures including fire evacuation and prevention protocols as required by the Ministry of Public Health.
Why Choose a Residential Rehabilitation Center?
Staying at a residential rehab center puts real distance between you and the triggers and environments that keep pulling you back toward substance use. With round-the-clock care, mental health support, and a wide range of therapy programs, you can give your recovery your full, undivided attention.
Treatment for a Better Life
"DAY ONE is a residential rehabilitation center for people facing problems with alcohol, drugs, and gambling."
In the past, problems with drugs, alcohol, smoking, or gambling were seen as personal failings — as immorality, weakness, or irresponsibility. People struggling with addiction were branded as bad people, and were denied access to proper treatment.
Today, advances in medical research have changed that understanding. Addiction — whether to substances or to behaviors such as gambling — is recognized as a chronic, relapse-prone illness arising from many risk factors: social environment, genetics, the brain's addiction response, personal traits such as impulsivity or a strong drive for novel experiences, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions that raise the risk of addiction.
Understanding these risks and root causes has made treatment far more effective — combining medication to treat the brain's dependence, motivational psychotherapy, therapeutic activities, changes to social environment, and assessment and treatment of co-occurring psychiatric conditions. People struggling with addiction can now receive the right help, with a real chance of returning to a normal, happy life.
This is why rehabilitation centers exist: as a path for those who want treatment and psychological recovery, so they can leave substances behind and live well again.
When you enter treatment at Day One, our physicians and specialists assess your situation individually, so your treatment program can be designed to address exactly what you need — with professional standards of care in warm, peaceful surroundings.

About DAY ONE
The DAY ONE Philosophy
We believe every person has worth and capability, and wants to live a meaningful, happy life. Sometimes, when life's problems become overwhelming, substances become a way of coping — until coping becomes addiction. But with hope, encouragement, firm resolve, and the right path to recovery, overcoming addiction is genuinely achievable.
Research on successful addiction treatment shows that most effective recovery programs combine multiple forms of therapy. Our program blends a wide range of treatment approaches, tailored to each individual, to deliver the highest quality of care. We are ready to help you through.
Our treatment follows a holistic approach — restoring body, mind, and social well-being — combining individual and group therapy through methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Satir Family Therapy for truly comprehensive care. Your personal therapist supports you attentively throughout treatment, with regular one-on-one sessions to work through the root causes of addiction — considering your family history, past experiences, and lifestyle. Each day you will also take part in a variety of therapy groups, such as:
- The Twelve-Step Program — adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), building understanding, mutual support, and encouragement among people facing alcohol and drug problems together
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) groups for changing thought patterns and behavior
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) groups
- Health Education on the harms of substance use, building real awareness of its consequences
- Occupational therapy groups

“I admit I didn’t want to come at first. I thought I could quit on my own — but I’d said I would stop so many times and never managed it. I came reluctantly, but once I opened up, I realized how much there still was to learn and practice. I’m glad I decided to come.”
— A Day One resident
“Thank you to everyone here for looking after me, teaching me, and keeping me grounded. My time here made me reflect on so much. I’m going to go out, fix my mistakes, and quit for good — for myself and for the family I love.”
— A Day One resident
“Through the activities here, I learned that if I want others to accept, understand, and forgive me, the change has to start with me first.”
— A Day One resident
“I never thought I’d stay this long. I love the activities and this place. Thank you to all the staff.”
— A Day One resident
“It felt strange at first, but doing it day after day, I adjusted. I learned that something as ordinary as keeping a daily routine is the foundation of a normal life without drugs.”
— A Day One resident
“Being somewhere calm and close to nature, spending time with myself away from triggers, let me look back on my life, pay attention to myself, and truly want a life without drugs.”
