Holistic Addiction Treatment & Rehabilitation Program
Addiction treatment is not just stopping the substance or getting through withdrawal. It is a process of restoring physical health, mental health, behaviour and daily life so that a person gradually regains control — especially for those who have tried to quit on their own and relapsed, or who also live with a mental health condition. Proper assessment and a well-designed plan from the start make the difference.

Day One Rehabilitation Center is a residential (inpatient) rehabilitation center in Nakhon Nayok. In a calm, private environment, a psychiatrist and multidisciplinary team assess each resident, plan treatment and arrange rehabilitation activities suited to the individual — from withdrawal care and treatment of co-occurring psychiatric conditions to psychotherapy, behaviour change and preparation to prevent relapse.
The goal is not simply to “quit”, but to help each person understand their own condition, manage cravings and triggers, rebuild family relationships and create a way of living that supports long-term recovery.
How treatment at Day One works, stage by stage
Recovery does not end with withdrawal. It needs continuing care for body, mind and behaviour, so Day One plans treatment individually — from initial assessment and withdrawal care to rehabilitation and follow-up after discharge — to reduce the long-term risk of relapse.
Stage 1: Assessment and an individual treatment plan
Within the first 24–48 hours
A psychiatrist reviews the history of substance use and its effects on physical and mental health, with vital signs, a physical examination and blood tests where indicated. The treatment team then designs an individual plan covering medication, counselling and the most suitable forms of psychotherapy.
Stage 2: Safe, medically supervised withdrawal
Within the first 2 weeks
During detoxification the team monitors and manages withdrawal symptoms, using appropriate medication where needed to ease withdrawal and reduce cravings. The choice and dose of medication depend on the substance and history of use, physical and psychological symptoms, and how each person responds to treatment.
Stage 3: Rehabilitation and relapse prevention
From weeks 2–4 onwards — we recommend at least 4 weeks of treatment
As physical symptoms improve, treatment shifts to restoring physical and mental health and building relapse-prevention skills through group therapy, mindfulness, exercise, yoga, cooking therapy and activities suited to each person. Length of stay is adjusted to symptoms, cravings, environmental risks, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, relapse history and family readiness.
Stage 4: Follow-up care after leaving the center
Ongoing follow-up for 1–2 years
After discharge, continued follow-up reviews mental health, adjusts medication, keeps recovery goals and motivation on track, and plans long-term relapse prevention. Follow-up with our psychiatrists and therapists is available at Piti Clinic, our mental health clinic in the Pradiphat–Saphan Khwai area of Bangkok, or by video call if travelling is difficult — so care continues seamlessly from residential treatment back into everyday life.
